Things to do in Wisconsin in February

Visit Potosi Brewing Company

Know as “Beer’s Hometown”, Potosi is the place for beer in Southwestern Wisconsin. In the winter, you can take brewery tours on Saturdays and Sundays. These tours include a guided tour, four 5 oz. beer samples, a pint glass, a pint of beer of your choice from the brewpub and a year-long pass National Brewery Museum and Library. Their Imperial IPA is must try, it won one of “Top 10 Beers of Wisconsin 2016.”

Go on a sleigh ride

Take a scenic tour through the Harrison Hills of Northwest Wisconsin. The two horse team and sleigh can hold up to 14 people. Take the whole family or make it a romantic ride for two. Stop at scenic views along the way for photos or a bite to eat. Tours start in Gleason, WI.

Ski by candlelight

A candlelight ski and hike is a must do activity for a Midwest snowy evening. Ski, snowshoe or hike through snowy trails all throughout Wisconsin. Wisconsin State Parks sponsor candlelight ski and hikes all winter long. Look for an event near the full moon on Feb. 12 for even more light.

Visit the Milwaukee Public Museum

The Milwaukee Public Museum is one of the largest natural history museums in the region. The unique theater and planetarium show a variety of night sky and 3D shows. Romancing the Stars is a special planetarium event that runs Valentine’s Day weekend. Other events throughout February cater to any museum goer.

Feb. 18-26 is a delectable weekend for Wisconsin travelers. Explore new restaurants at Kenosha’s restaurant week. Several restaurants will offer fixed price menus featuring their best dishes.
